The National: How to Prepare for a Stock Market Crash

LONDON, 3 April 2015 – United Arab Emirates newspaper The National today names and quotes BullionVault in advice for investors wanting to prepare against a possible crash in the stock market.

Looking at price performance and alternatives including cash in the bank – "not as secure as many assumed" – the English-language paper notes how gold prices have swung during and since the global financial crisis.

"Gold's rarity gives it an emotional appeal," says Adrian Ash, head of research at BullionVault, "and its indestructible nature stands in stark contrast to currency, debt or equities."

Now with a daily circulation of 60,000 in the UAE, and launched online in 2010, The National quotes Adrian on how "gold typically performs well when stocks slide, and poorly when stocks surge."
