LONDON, 30 March 2015 – Research from BullionVault's Adrian Ash into gold's true value as a portfolio diversifier is published today by Money Observer, the UK's longest-running and best-read monthly personal finance magazine.
"Gold is often presented as financial insurance, a 'hedge' against crashes in other, typically productive assets," writes Adrian. But while "such claims start perhaps more in faith than fact," his analysis shows that – for UK investors and savers – a small allocation to gold bullion would indeed have reduced risk without hurting returns over the short, medium and long-term.
