LONDON, 25 September 2015 – BullionVault's smartphone app for Andriod devices has been used to buy £500,310-worth of gold, reports the Huffington Post – one of the world's top 120 websites by traffic.
"Capitalism has officially reached a new, high?" the news blog and aggregator site jokes. "Someone has set what might be the world record for most money spent on a smartphone."
Using BullionVault's popular interface, the report goes on, "you can just open up your app and casually drop half a million on 21.4kg of gold bullion vaulted in Switzerland (if you must know)."
