USA Today: Investors "Not Interested" in Gold

NEW YORK, 3 June 2014 – The investment webpages of USA Today, America's top-selling daily newspaper, today feature the latest Gold Investor Index from BullionVault, the world-leading physical gold and silver exchange for private investors online.

"BullionVault's research shows a diminished interest in gold" from new investors, says the report, noting that internet search volumes for the phrase 'Buy Gold' have fallen back to May 2009 levels.

"Existing investors continue buying the dips," USA Today quotes BullionVault's analysis, "which may prove smart long term."

Overall however, "Sentiment about gold has slipped to its lowest level since January," says the newspaper's online report, citing the Gold Investor Index – a unique measure of investor activity in physical gold, based on genuine trading on BullionVault.
